Upgrading Home Assistant in Docker

HA Upgrade

This week’s video is a quick video on how I use Docker to upgrade my Home Assistant Home Automation software.   If you haven’t started using docker, you will be amazed at the number of premade containers out there and the ease and speed at which you can have environments up and running.  Upgrading Home Assistant via docker is super simple and downgrading it even easier.   This allows for super fast testing and rollbacks of releases without fear of busting your light or automation set ups.

Some of this stuff might be basic but I’m sure there are some nuggets of information for even the advanced user.

For a more in-depth description of some of the containers in my set up, check out this post.

You can find all the scripts referenced in the video either in the description or in my Repo on Github.

Happy Automating and if you haven’t subscribed to the Youtube Channel, please consider it!
